PRE TAN SKIN PREPARATION

Athletes, to make sure that your muscle is defined, skin tone is even, and highlighted properly under the stage lights, it is important that you follow pre-tan instructions.                        

 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Please gently exfoliate with a sugar or salt  scrub and moisturize,

 

Saturday Morning: ONLY exfoliate. You may use non-moisturizing soap only. DO NOT APPLY LOTION. DO NOT APPLY MOISTURIZERS.

You may apply deodorant  prior to your tanning session; however, the deodorant must be fully removed and skin completely dry before your tanning session.

​

BIONIC Tans suggest at least one “regular light” tanning bed session, and at least 2 tanning bed sessions for fair skinned athletes, prior to being spray tanned to assist with pulling water and complimenting your stage tan. No more than 3 coats of tan will be applied in total.

Each person’s skin will only allow the uptake of 1-2 coats of tan solution in one session. Another coat be lightly applied later, if needed.

Please, do not wear any jewelry, lotions, makeup, perfumes or deodorant when coming in for your spray tan.

​

Wear loose-fitting clothing that you do not mind having tan solution on. Please bring a n cap to put your hair into as I will tan your entire body including your neck.

​

Guys if you wish to have your entire body tanned, please bring a sock to wear over what the good Lord blessed you with.

 

We advise that you inform your tanner of any area on your body that has a medicated skin regimen so that we prevent tanning that area to avoid skin irritation.

 

Tanning your face is a personal decision and if desired, only a thin layer of tan will be applied.

 

Everyone please place dark sheets AND pillowcases on your bed that you do not mind getting tan solution on. All tan solution should be able to come out of your clothing and bedding with soap and cold water.

 

Please get your manicures, pedicures, shave and do all hair removal prior to being tanned. After being tanned, you will NOT be able to do any of the things above including work out.

 

DO NOT shower your tan off prior to competition. Wear flip flops. Purchase Benadryl and take as directed if you develop skin irritation.

 

BIONIC Tans will also be at the competition with you backstage and will be applying touch ups, suit to skin adhesive, and body sheen for you as well.
